Church Discipline … and Love

In the Bible God has ordained three institutions: Family, State and Church. Family and State were instituted in the Old Testament and reaffirmed in the New Testament. The Church was just instituted in the New Testament. God ordained each institution to have its own form of discipline.

The nation that is weak in civil discipline will be an unrighteous weak nation. And a nation with no civil discipline will go out of existence.

The family that is weak or has no child discipline will have dishonoring unruly children.

The church that is weak or has no church discipline is more like a nice Christian social club – with the culture affecting the church more than the church affecting the culture – and such church has never changed any city for the Kingdom of God.
